Nicholas Esom

Nicholas Esom is the Managing Partner. He holds LLB [HONS] degree from Enugu State University of Science and Technology Enugu, and BL from the Nigerian Law School. He has vast experience in diverse areas of law practice including Corporate and Commercial law, Litigation, Real Estate, Debt Recovery, Oil & Gas, Shipping, Maritime and Project Finance. He has over 2 decades post call experience in Corporate and Commercial law practise and has assisted clients in structuring local and international joint ventures through partnerships, equity investments and mergers.

Nicholas specializes in Energy & Natural Resources Law, Banking & Finance, Corporate/Commercial Law, International Trade and Property Law. He has advised several clients on compliance with various legislations in the Nigerian shipping industry, power industry, Oil & Gas and the alienation of property in Nigeria.

He has drafted several agreements for various oil and gas projects and carried out a lot of due diligence necessities and research on the local content regime in Nigeria. He has advised clients on securing foreign investment in the Banking sector in Nigeria and provided company secretarial services to various companies in Nigeria.

He is currently advising a multinational company on a joint development of LOR Oil license in one of the West African countries. Nicholas is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and has represented clients in trial and appellate courts in commercial and energy transactions.

Ifeoma Esom

Position: Partner

Ifeoma Esom holds an LL.B degree in law from Enugu State University of Science &Technology and BL from the Nigerian Law School. She has over twenty five (25) years post call experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, particularly arbitration and mediation. She is a prolific and tenacious litigator with vast experience in commercial and civil practice and corporate dispute resolution, representing high profile banking institutions, energy companies and other corporate organizations in both the high courts and appellate courts.

Ifeoma Esom advises on all aspects of Nigerian litigation practice and procedure with specialization in commercial litigation, banking, debt recovery and insolvency practice, company and partnership dispute resolution and corporate restructuring. She is listed by Who’s Who Legal as an expert in commercial litigation in Nigeria.

Ifeoma also specializes in labour law and employment matters and has represented clients in negotiations and mediations and advised on resolution of employment and trade disputes. She been involved in litigations in the high courts and appellate courts in Nigeria representing both public and private employees as well as employers in different fields including the energy, oil & gas, banking, telecommunication and aviation sectors. She also has experience in intellectual property law practice specializing in copyright and trademark protection.

Ifeoma Esom is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators [Nigeria and UK] and has represented high profile clients including top a Oil &Gas Company and a telephone manufacturing company in arbitrations and mediations for several years. Her areas of expertise in arbitration and mediation cut across diverse sectors including banking, energy and oil and gas. Ogochukwu Onuorah

Position: Partner

Gertrude poses a considerable expertise in commercial law, corporate law, debt recovery, real estate, banking and finance etc; also an advisory service and has always obtained favourable results for clients.

Her broad range of experience has been acquired during her years of active legal practice with different prominent legal firms across the country. She has been involved in and participated in admiralty/shipping matters/transactions, mortgage and lending transactions, business/legal advisory, in-house case management and Preparation of ancillary documentations/agreements in various commercial transactions, drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements, deeds, leases, franchise and confidentiality agreements, process and obtain stamping for documents.

She holds a Bachelor of Law degree (2009) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010.

Hamilton Ifoh

Uchenna Hamilton Ifoh Uchenna Hamilton Ifoh is a seasoned legal practitioner with over a decade of post-call experience in the Nigerian legal profession.
